Young Adefolahan got married to late Dr. (Chief) Victor Oloyede Awosika in 1963. Dr Oloyede Awosika was a great man of vision, a very hard working and dedicated man, very highly committed to whatever he sets to do .He was a good family man who demonstrated considerable maturity in marriage. A very loving husband to his wife and a good father to his children. Dr Awosika laid a very solid foundation upon which is wife and children have built. The unions of these great minds have produced many blessed children who are professionals in various fields and are very well placed in the society.

To her children, high Chief Awosika is a role model, a great motivator, a woman of high integrity, highly intelligent and Godfearing, In fact, she believes that if you take care of the things that are dear to God, He will take care of the things that are dear to you. She is a disciplinarian who imbibes fear, humilty, Godliness and honesty in her children. A typical mother, a patient and good listener who shows a lot of concern for her children. To her patience is a great virtue. One of the students recalls Chief Awosika’s popular statement that is full of wisdom: “Have patience with all things but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them.”

The inner Wheel Club of Opebi, District 911, was formed under the leadership of Chief (Mrs.) Awosika in 1983.She became the charter President in 1985. She is a member of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS). She was at a time the Treasurer, Zonta International Club of LagosII. She has represented Nigeria at many International conferences on World Environment and peace matters.
