High Chief Mrs. Awosika is an Educationist of high
repute with over forty years of teaching experience. Many of her
students are of very good standing and holding very important positions
nationally and internationally.
She founded the popular Chrisland, (a name which
was coined from the name of her local community ”Abule Onigbagbo”-
Christian Land Educational Organisation in Lagos In 1977. Chrisland
has since grown from a Nursery / Primary School of the late seventies
to include a Secondary school and a plan for a University in the
near future. She is an avid reader with a personal collection of
over 2000 books.
High Chief (Mrs.) Awosika is the Chairman of Holy
Trinity Hospitals and Estate Clinics with Headquarters in Ikeja,
Lagos and branches in major towns and cities in Nigeria. She is
the chairman of City Commercial and Industrial Enterprises Ltd.
(CCIE), a construction / Property Management and Development Company
based in Lagos.
She is also the chairman of Chemopharma Laboratories
Ltd. a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company.
High Chief (Mrs.) Awosika is the Founder Chief Executive
of “The Empress” a monthly magazine originally meant to celebrate
unsung heroines, especially Teachers. It projects role models who
have excelled in their various fields of calling and promotes family
values.
She is also the Matron, Busy Bees (Achbishop Vining
Memorial Anglican Church, GRA Ikeja).
She is a Fellow and member of Council, of
the Institute of Directors (IOD). Finally, she holds a National
Honour award of OON, conferred by the President of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria for her immense contributions to the development of Education
and Economy in Nigeria.
High Chief (Mrs.) Awosika has infectious leadership
qualities in addition to her entrepreneurial skills. Her ability
to manage a group of people have been aptly demonstrated by the
continued success of the family’s business enterprises, which she
has not only sustained but which have continued to grow fifteen
years after the demised of her cherished and dear husband.
